CONFERENCE
Wout
WIJSMAN (Team Captain, Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo):
I did not play as I have
some pain on my knee and I do not want to risk that I will miss the upcoming
Playoffs in our National League. I am happy with this bronze medal, we played
not that good in the first set, but we came back strongly.
Carlos CARRENO (Head Coach, Unicaja Almeria):
We started this match very well; I think we somehow
surprised our opponents, but then they stepped up to
a level that we can not afford for the moment.
However, I think that we never gave up even though
we were not able to catch up with their impressive
rhythm. You know, all in all I am quite happy with
the final outcome of this Final Four; yesterday we
had a little chance to make it to the final, but we
missed it and today we definitely came to the
competition hall aiming at the bronze medal. This
season we already seized the National Cup in Spain,
so next year we’ re going to be back to the
Champions League with good ambitions. Our club has a
long lasting tradition in the European Cups and I
feel our perspectives for the future are quite
encouraging.
Silvano PRANDI (Head Coach,
Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo):
Our efficiency in attack was not that impressive,
but we played at a good level. As for the final
match, I think that the Russians will get the
trophy.
