ATHENS, 19 March -- Panathinaikos Athens continued
preparations for the Final Four of the 2009 Men's CEV Cup
with yet another practice session at the Indoor Hall of the
Athens Olympic Complex, which will host the event 21 & 22
March. "We are playing at home and have nothing to fear,"
said Renaud Herpe, Panathinaikos' French spiker. "The
dynamics of the Italian League gives Cuneo a slight
advantage, but I believe we can counter this with the
support of our fans. Setter Frank Depestele of Belgium said:
"Cuneo and Belgorod are the favourites for the title, but
the home advantage of Panathinaikos could prove decisive."
